KPC Group was founded on hard work, loyalty, and a desire to innovate in the construction industry.
Our story begins with Adam Brown, who started his career in his family’s wholesale produce business, Browns of Ashford, working early hours in London’s Spitalfields Market and managing supply to schools and restaurants across Kent. In 2000, with his father retired and other family members at the helm, Adam took a new opportunity.
He entered the construction world as a plasterer and dry liner for a major London firm, quickly rising through the ranks to become a contracts manager. In 2006, with the encouragement of friends and family, and a bold leap of faith, KPC was born.
Known initially as Kent Plastering Contractors, KPC started when two local developers asked Adam to manage the internal fit-outs of their builds. It was a turning point: Adam and Jane sold their property to fund the venture and, together they began the journey that would grow into the KPC Group we know today.
What began as a plastering firm has since evolved into a multi-service construction and property group, home to KPC Construction, KPC Maintenance, KPC Dry Lining, and Kent Pump Company. Each division operates independently but shares the same values, leadership, and customer first approach.
For Adam, it’s always been about more than just building, it’s about creating opportunity, supporting local trades, and giving back to the community that shaped him. From employing young trainees and working with family to sponsoring schools, sports teams, and community events across Kent, KPC Group stands proudly rooted in local life.
Behind the scenes, Adam’s journey hasn’t always been easy. Living with learning difficulties and leaving school early, he’s had to carve his own path with resilience, night school, and real world experience guiding the way. Today, he leads a company that prides itself on honesty, kindness, and excellence in delivery – the same values that built it.
